Dalai Lama Said, “We sacrifice our health in order to make
wealth, then we sacrifice our wealth in order to get back our wealth.” We are
so anxious about what will happen in future that we don’t enjoy the present. The
result being, we don’t live in the present or future. We are giving up our
passions, we are completely rooted to our routines, and we are plagued by
indecision and lack of vision. We wish our out of office is could be permanent,
we wish our inbox will always remain empty; our LinkedIn resumes are more
interesting than our actual job, our profile picture is always happiest. We
live for the weekend but then end up feeling weak. We are told it’s normal to
have a 9 to 6. I mean, actually sorry it’s a 9 to 9. And it’s fine if you don’t
get enough time with the person you love that took you so long to find.
When asked “What is the biggest mistake we make in life?”
the Buddha replied, “The biggest mistake is you think you have time”. Time is
free but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. And once it lost
you can never get it back. Time is more valuable than money. You can get more
money, but you can never get more time. Imagine you wake up every day with
Rs.86,400 in your bank account. And at the end of night it’s all gone whether
you spend it or not. And then the next day you get another Rs. 86,400. What
would we do it with? Everyday we got 86,400 seconds in our life, after using
all seconds throughout the day, next day we got another 86,400 seconds. We
would never waste it if it was money, so why do we waste it when it comes to
time? Those seconds are so much powerful than rupees because you can always
make rupees, you can’t make more time. Don’t
let someone be a priority when
all you are to them is an option. And as William Shakespeare said, “ Time is very
slow for those who want, very fast for those who are scared, very long for
those who are sad, and very short for those who celebrate.”
So we all have a passion, we have genius inside us, we have
that potential. I know that we have all been in that position feeling confused
and seriously lacking mission, but then I asked myself – at the end of my life,
what will I regret?? And the answer is
clear. Pain of regret is more powerful to take a risk. So next time when you
are going through challenges, just remember this , “ A winner is just a loser
who tried one more time”. One moment can change everything. There are decades
when nothing happens, and there are days where decades happen. A year from now
you would’ve wish you stared Today.
